deformed, Deformed?

Heather question: What is the meaning of the lowercase/uppercase use of the word 'deformed.'

Act 3.3

Borachio is the first to mention the word: "But seest thou not what a deformed thief this fashion is?"

First Watch: "I know that Deformed. He has been a vile thief this seven year. He goes up and down like a gentleman. I remember his name."

The change in pronouns indicates a mistake of the Watch. Borachio was only speaking in terms of fashion, and the Watch mistook the word 'deformed' for a person, hence the capitalization of Deformed. The Watch literally creates a person that doesn't exist, who is mentioned later in the play.
